Jackson quality of life -am I missing something?

Hi all, The unemployment rate is 3.7%, which is pretty low. Median household income is $44,508, which feels on the lower side for the area. The weather takes some getting used to. Any advice would be great.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are pricey. You get used to it after the first year.
