Quick question about Jackson

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a college student here and With a population of 31,206, Jackson is a smaller city. Average temperature is around 49--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a smaller city city with about 31,206 people. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Am I overthinking this? The city has invested a lot in new development. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.
