I'm a remote worker and Poverty rate is 19.6%, which is higher than I expected. Household incomes average around $51,552 in Jackson. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Would love some local perspective. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.
