Moving from San Francisco to Jackson next month

Hey everyone, I'm single, late 40s, and The unemployment rate is 1.0%, which is pretty low. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. The suburbs are where most families end up. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

As someone who grew up here, it's exactly what I was looking for. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much wild but now it's solid.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's not perfect but it works for me. The only thing I'd watch out for is pet-friendliness. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 1 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is healthcare. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the job market is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Riverside side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..
