Is Jacksonville a good place to live?

Hey everyone, Military spouse here. The median home value here is around $266,100, which seems about average. Average temperature is around 71°F, so it's warm year-round. The city has invested a lot in new development. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. What do you all think? The city has invested a lot in new development. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's been a really good experience overall. Compared to Portland it's underrated.
