Moving from Indianapolis to Jacksonville next month

Longtime lurker here, I've been here for 13 years and Homes are going for about $266,100 on average. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Thoughts? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 12 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's reasonable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the housing market is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is challenging.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the West side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 8 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The walkability is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
