What's it really like living in Jacksonville?
Longtime lurker here, The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. It's a a major city city with about 962K people. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
