Hey everyone, I grew up here but left for a while. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $191,700, which is actually reasonable. Household incomes average around $54,069 in Jacksonville. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What neighborhoods would you suggest? OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Oak Park. It's average for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in finance. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally average. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Italian.
