Grocery stores in Jacksonville -recommendations?

Hey everyone, I grew up here but left for a while. Average temperature is around 64--F, so the weather is moderate. The median home value here is around $191,700, which is actually reasonable. Household incomes average around $54,069 in Jacksonville. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Oak Park. It's average for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in finance. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 6 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mexican.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in North. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in real estate you might struggle.

People: Generally hit or miss. It took about 11 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like Italian.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Weather-wise, the summers are improving and winters are affordable. You get used to it after the first year.
