Biggest downsides of living in James Island?

Anyone else feel this way? Been living here since 2021. Homes are going for about $454,200 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I wrong here? Any help is appreciated. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The weather takes some getting used to. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

I'm a accountant and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is solid and there's always something going on.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is job market. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
