Honest thoughts on life in James Island

Alright, I've been here for 19 years and Rent is about $1,443/month for a decent place. Median household income is $100,176, which feels pretty solid for the area. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Is this normal for James Island? The food scene here is surprisingly good. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great Mexican places. I have mixed feelings honestly.

I've lived in Midtown for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by dating scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure
- The weather scene is decent

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for couples. Hope this helps!.
