OK so I grew up here but left for a while. Median household income is $117,719, which feels pretty solid for the area. Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. What do you all think? Cheers. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Compared to Tampa it's tough.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Dallas about 8 years ago. The main reasons were school and a fresh start.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Close to major attractions
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown
Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is better than expected.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Happy to answer more specific questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is tough in most areas.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. No regrets on my end..
