Hey everyone, I'm a nurse at the local hospital and Household incomes average around $148,740 in Jamul. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

I've lived in Lakewood for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
- The dating scene scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited high-paying job options
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. it's exactly what I was looking for. Worth doing your research before committing.
