How are the schools in Jan Phyl Village?

We have two kids and Rent is about $1,213/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Am I wrong here? There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is weather. Other than that, Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
