How is Janesville for outdoor activities?

Hey, I relocated for work and Homes are going for about $209,700 on average. The median home value here is around $209,700, which is actually reasonable. Household incomes average around $71,664 in Janesville. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

My experience has been mostly positive. it's exactly what I was looking for. The only thing I'd watch out for is traffic. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Portland about 8 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and my partner's job.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are manageable, gas is excellent.

Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Good luck with whatever you decide..
