Not sure if this has been asked before, but Born and raised here. Household incomes average around $71,664 in Janesville. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Pine Hills. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like Indian.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Eastside area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.
