So, Been living here since 2016. Household incomes average around $67,205 in Jefferson City. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience?

I've lived in Sunset for about 11 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Pittsburgh, I was surprised by pet-friendliness. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Strong job market in several industries
- The outdoor recreation scene is improving
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 10 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'm a data analyst and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is decent and there's always something going on.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 5 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Fairview. It's excellent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in real estate. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally underrated. It took about 12 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: improving. Tons of options if you like Korean.
Happy to answer more specific questions..

We moved here with our family and it exceeded my expectations. Schools in Sunset area are challenging. Kids love it here.
