I'm originally from Houston and You can expect to pay around $1,253 for rent here. It's a a smaller city city with about 28,988 people. Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. The suburbs are where most families end up. What do you all think? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
