Best restaurants in Jeffersonville?

Average temperature is around 58--F, so the weather is moderate. Has anyone dealt with this?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a social worker who relocated here from Nashville about 12 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Decent public transit for the size

Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Far from beaches/mountains

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are manageable, gas is hit or miss.

Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. No regrets on my end..

Used to live on the West side, now on the East side. Completely different vibe. I love the pace of life here.

Came here for work and stayed because I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The healthcare is honestly surprisingly good and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is safety. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Worth doing your research before committing.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 13 years ago from Austin and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Sunset. It's underrated for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in construction. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally average. It took about 4 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.
