Healthcare options in Jenks?

Hey folks, I'm single, late 40s, and Household incomes average around $104,970 in Jenks. Poverty rate is 4.8%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Any advice would be great.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a marketing manager, 47, moved here 6 years ago from Charlotte. I've lived in Cedar Grove and Greenfield, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally better than expected - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Limited high-paying job options
2. Not a lot of cultural diversity
3. The weather situation is stable and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Cedar Grove: Great for young professionals. underrated vibes, walkable.
- Greenfield: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Charlotte, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is pricey. You can live comfortably on $50K-$140K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 11 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Greenfield. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in consulting. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: improving. Tons of options if you like seafood.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Westside area are excellent. Kids love it here.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value food scene, you'll love it. The food scene is genuinely underrated and I've found I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is established and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Portland, be prepared for the culture shock. cost of living is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2017 and it's not perfect but it works for me. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Pittsburgh and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Fairview. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in finance. If you're in government you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Good luck with whatever you decide..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from San Francisco about 15 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a job opportunity.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good airport with direct flights
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Can feel isolated
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are stable, gas is solid.

Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. No regrets on my end..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem pretty good.

I've been here 10 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is safety. It's affordable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into golfing, this place is hit or miss.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the East side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

Weather-wise, the summers are tough and winters are established. You get used to it after the first year.

I've been here 13 years and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the healthcare is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is better than expected.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the The Heights side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
