Hey, I'm originally from Indianapolis and Rent is about $1,555/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 60--F, so the weather is moderate. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Looking forward to hearing from you all. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is tough in most areas.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much stable but now it's tough.
