Anyone else love living in Jensen Beach?

First post here. The median home value here is around $363,100, which seems about average. Average temperature is around 75--F, so it's warm year-round. Median household income is $63,397, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Jensen Beach sits at 395.1 per 100K. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Would love some local perspective. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Sunset for 9 years. Moved from Portland for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is underrated. We bought in 2015 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 1-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
construction is strong here. legal is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The outdoor scene is solid - we have national forests within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Sunset schools are excellent. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Road conditions need improvement. Limited shopping options. And cost of living can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 8/10. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

I work in hospitality here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.

I've been here 5 years and I love the pace of life here. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's wild and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is solid.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Highland side vs the Westside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
