Is Jerseyville getting better or worse?

Curious what people think. Rent is about $826/month for a decent place. The median home value here is around $124,200, which is actually reasonable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Cheers. The weather takes some getting used to. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've lived in Westside for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from Boston, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The nightlife scene is underrated

The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Road conditions need improvement

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for young professionals. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I've lived in South for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Phoenix, I was surprised by job market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Close to major attractions
- The cultural scene scene is decent

The downsides:
- Can feel isolated
- Far from beaches/mountains

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. No regrets on my end..

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The cultural scene is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
