Anyone work in healthcare in Johns Creek?

Been meaning to ask this. The unemployment rate is 2.8%, which is pretty low. Average temperature is around 62--F, so the weather is moderate. With a population of 82,115, Johns Creek is a smaller city. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value safety, you'll love it. The dating scene is genuinely challenging and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Fairview) is pricey and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. job market is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value cost of living, you'll love it. The traffic is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (Uptown) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. pet-friendliness is completely different here. And Rising rent and home prices.

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are average, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's exactly what I was looking for. Internet is solid in most areas.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 4 years and it's improved dramatically in recent years. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's manageable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the cost of living is legit. And if you're into rock climbing, this place is improving.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The The Heights side vs the Fairview side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Good luck with whatever you decide..
