Hey, Should I be concerned? People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Used to live on the East side, now on the North side. Completely different vibe. it's not perfect but it works for me.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 14 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Strong job market in several industries
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Urban sprawl is real
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is decent.
Socially, I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. Definitely worth checking out..

Public transit is better than expected here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

I work in consulting here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've lived in Sunset for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. When I first moved here from Baltimore, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Nice parks and green spaces
- The walkability scene is solid
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Chain restaurants dominate
Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for singles. No regrets on my end..
