Quick question about Johns Creek

Curious what people think. You can expect to pay around $2,173 for rent here. Crime rate is something to consider -Johns Creek sits at 33.2 per 100K. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are pretty good, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if school system matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Miami about 2 years ago. The main reasons were retirement and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are reasonable, gas is decent.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Happy to answer more specific questions..
