Best areas to explore in Johnson City?

You can expect to pay around $957 for rent here. With a population of 71,455, Johnson City is a smaller city. The suburbs are where most families end up. Would love some local perspective. Cheers. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 12 years ago from Baltimore and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in healthcare. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
