Studio apartments in Johnson City -options?
Born and raised here. Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. Household incomes average around $55,429 in Johnson City. Rent is about $957/month for a decent place. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The weather takes some getting used to. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
