Top 5 things I love about Johnson City

Longtime lurker here, I'm retired and Average temperature is around 56--F, so the weather is moderate. Property taxes are high but you get good services. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What are your go-to spots? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.

As someone who grew up here, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much affordable but now it's improving.
