Anyone work in healthcare in Johnstown?

Rent is about $1,767/month for a decent place. It's a a small town city with about 18,075 people. The median home value here is around $493,500, which is pretty steep. The weather takes some getting used to. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. What would you do? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Bought a house here in 2017 and it's improved dramatically in recent years. Property values have gone about the same since then.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Portland and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in South. It's decent for what you get.

Jobs: The market is manageable right now, especially in education. If you're in marketing you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: better than expected. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

No regrets on my end..
