Hey, The unemployment rate is 3.3%, which is pretty low. With a population of 18,075, Johnstown is a small town. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Any advice would be great. Looking forward to hearing from you all. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Atlanta about 13 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it solid compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are stable, gas is surprisingly good.
Socially, the quality of life is solid. Good luck with whatever you decide..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it exceeded my expectations. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
