The good and bad of living in Joliet

My partner and I are Crime rate is something to consider — Joliet sits at 506.9 per 100K. Poverty rate is 9.2%, which is pretty low. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Thoughts? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.
