Is public transit usable in Joplin?

Longtime lurker here, Military spouse here. You can expect to pay around $889 for rent here. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

We moved here with our family and it's been a really good experience overall. Schools in Maple Ridge area are better than expected. Kids love it here.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

I work in retail here and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The job market for my field is hit or miss. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
