Is Jordan walkable?

Hey everyone, I'm retired and The median home value here is around $147,500, which is actually reasonable. Rent is about $793/month for a decent place. Median household income is $73,237, which feels about average for the area. Crime rate is something to consider -Jordan sits at 128.1 per 100K. Household incomes average around $73,237 in Jordan. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. Does this match your experience? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem excellent.

I've been here 1 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is cost of living. It's pricey and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the public transit is legit. And if you're into biking, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Downtown side vs the Eastside side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want job market, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I work in healthcare here and I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market for my field is tough. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is challenging. Tons of great Indian places. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

I've lived in North for about 7 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Charlotte, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals
- The school system scene is average

The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Property taxes are high

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 1 years here, that's my honest assessment.
