Hi all, The median home value here is around $432,500, which is pretty steep. Median household income is $100,513, which feels pretty solid for the area. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cheers. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Atlanta and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Pine Hills. It's surprisingly good for what you get.
Jobs: The market is stable right now, especially in government. If you're in retail you might struggle.
People: Generally solid. It took about 18 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: underrated. Tons of options if you like sushi.
Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I've lived in Sunset for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
the quality of life is solid. When I first moved here from Nashville, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Lots of new development happening
- The job market scene is improving
The downsides:
- Limited shopping options
- Far from beaches/mountains
Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for retirees. Definitely worth checking out..

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want pet-friendliness, then yeah this place is great. But if walkability matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The public transit is excellent compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..
