Hi all, Rent is about $1,462/month for a decent place. With a population of 31,969, Juneau is a smaller city. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Am I overthinking this? Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The city has invested a lot in new development. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The food scene here is surprisingly good.
