Anyone else feel this way? The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $555,500 on average. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up. Is this normal for Jupiter? Cheers. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value job market, you'll love it. The healthcare is genuinely solid and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (North) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Raleigh, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Traffic during rush hour is rough.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The job market is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great Mediterranean places. it was the best decision I ever made.

Weather-wise, the summers are surprisingly good and winters are wild. You get used to it after the first year.
