Is Jupiter walkable?

OK so I'm retired and Median household income is $109,109, which feels pretty solid for the area. The unemployment rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Should I be concerned?

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it exceeded my expectations. Compared to Raleigh it's underrated.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a nurse, 55, moved here 7 years ago from Denver. I've lived in Springfield and Uptown, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Close to major attractions
2. Affordable housing options
3. Diverse dining options
4. The people are generally challenging - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Rising rent and home prices
2. Not very walkable outside downtown
3. The weather situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Springfield: Great for young professionals. average vibes, walkable.
- Uptown: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Denver, everything felt improving. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $90K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Hot take but it's been a really good experience overall. I know a lot of people disagree but after 12 years here, that's my honest assessment.
