Born and raised here. With a population of 106K, Jurupa Valley is a mid-size city. Household incomes average around $96,190 in Jurupa Valley. The median home value here is around $538,700, which is pretty steep. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Thanks in advance! The weather takes some getting used to. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Used to live on the Riverside side, now on the Greenfield side. Completely different vibe. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem tough.
I've been here 1 years and it's not perfect but it works for me. The thing nobody mentions is dating scene. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into skiing, this place is better than expected.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Lakewood side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say I genuinely enjoy living here. The community vibe is average compared to other places I've lived. Overall Feel free to reach out with questions..

I've lived in The Heights for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Seattle, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Lots of new development happening
- The school system scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a nurse, 55, moved here 6 years ago from Tampa. I've lived in Fairview and Sunset, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Friendly community, easy to meet people
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Active local events and festivals
4. The people are generally surprisingly good - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Winters are long and cold
2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The healthcare situation is established and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Fairview: Great for singles. surprisingly good vibes, walkable.
- Sunset: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Tampa, everything felt decent. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are developing. Gas is reasonable. You can live comfortably on $60K-$130K here.
**Final verdict:**
Definitely worth checking out.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Public transit is underrated here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's been a really good experience overall.

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I genuinely enjoy living here. The cultural scene is honestly underrated and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
