Working remotely from Jurupa Valley — my experience

I've been working remotely from Jurupa Valley for 15 years now. Here's my take:

The pace of life here is perfect for remote work. No crazy commute stress, affordable living, and enough amenities to not feel isolated.

Cost of living: a bit high but manageable
Internet: Could be better but workable with a good provider
Coworking spaces: Limited but the library works in a pinch

If you're looking for a place to WFH, Jurupa Valley is worth considering.

I work in retail and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 6 months.

I've lived in Lakewood for 6 years and it's still one of the best decisions I made.

Public transit needs work but they're investing in it. Should improve in next few years.

Rent tip: look for places in January-February. Prices drop and there's more availability.

Coming from Seattle, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are about the same.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

Coming from Denver, the cost of living difference is noticeable. Groceries and gas are slightly more expensive but housing makes up for it.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

Check out the Northside area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.
