What I wish I knew before living in Justin

The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The public transit is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

I work in education here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is surprisingly good. No regrets on my end..

Hot take but it's exactly what I was looking for. I know a lot of people disagree but after 11 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Miami about 10 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Strong job market in several industries
- Good internet infrastructure
- Active local events and festivals

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it decent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are developing, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. Happy to answer more specific questions..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from San Diego and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: The market is competitive but not impossible. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Sunset. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in engineering. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally better than expected. It took about 7 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: solid. Tons of options if you like seafood.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in Pine Hills for 11 years. Moved from Miami for a job opportunity. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is excellent. We bought in 2024 at k and it's now worth up significantly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.

**Employment:**
hospitality is strong here. construction is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are stable for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor scene is pretty good - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Pine Hills schools are solid. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Property taxes are high. Road conditions need improvement. And pet-friendliness can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For young professionals, I'd say this is a 6/10. Good luck with whatever you decide.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Weather-wise, the summers are challenging and winters are competitive. You get used to it after the first year.
