Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much.
Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Good schools
- Strong sense of community
- Plenty of shopping options
- Good airport connections
Cons:
- Traffic can be terrible
- Rising rent prices
- Far from major airports
- Limited cultural events
- Homelessness issues downtown
Should I be concerned? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
