Best kept secrets of Kahului, HI

Anyone else feel this way? I'm a nurse at the local hospital and The median home value here is around $833,200, which is pretty steep. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Has anyone dealt with this? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

As someone who grew up here, it exceeded my expectations. A lot has changed in the past few years though. walkability used to be much developing but now it's surprisingly good.
