Biggest downsides of living in Kahului?

Been meaning to ask this. Household incomes average around $92,062 in Kahului. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Am I wrong here?

I've been living here for 14 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The safety is surprisingly good compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..
