Hi all, Median household income is $92,062, which feels pretty solid for the area. Homes are going for about $833,200 on average. You can expect to pay around $1,473 for rent here. Average temperature is around 77--F, so it's warm year-round. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. Has anyone dealt with this? There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

Came here for family and stayed because I'm still on the fence after all this time. The safety is honestly hit or miss and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. pet-friendliness used to be much reasonable but now it's excellent.

I've lived in Riverside for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Active local events and festivals
- The dating scene scene is tough
The downsides:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. it's not perfect but it works for me. Compared to Charlotte it's average.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.
I've been in Eastside for 3 years. Moved from Tampa for work. Here's my honest, detailed take:
**Housing:**
The market right now is better than expected. We bought in 2021 at k and it's now worth up a bit than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 2-bed in a safe area. Older homes are where the value is.
**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. engineering is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are pricey for the area.
**Quality of Life:**
the quality of life is solid. The outdoor scene is surprisingly good - we have biking trails within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.
**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. Eastside schools are average. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.
**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Traffic during rush hour is rough. Summers can be brutally hot. And pet-friendliness can be frustrating.
**Bottom line:**
For singles, I'd say this is a 5/10. Definitely worth checking out.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 6 years here, that's my honest assessment.
