Not sure if this has been asked before, but Crime rate is something to consider -Kahului sits at 232.1 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 2.7%, which is pretty low. Household incomes average around $92,062 in Kahului. With a population of 27,068, Kahului is a smaller city. The suburbs are where most families end up. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.
