Remote worker thinking about Kailua CDP (Honolulu County)

Hi all, My partner and I are Poverty rate is 2.3%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $1,239,000, which is pretty steep. Median household income is $146,615, which feels pretty solid for the area. With a population of 39,762, Kailua CDP (Honolulu County) is a smaller city. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. What would you do? The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The suburbs are where most families end up. The city has invested a lot in new development. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. The city has invested a lot in new development. My experience has been mostly positive. I have mixed feelings honestly. The only thing I'd watch out for is community vibe. Other than that, Good luck with whatever you decide..
