Starting a business in Kailua CDP (Honolulu County)?
Alright, I'm retired and Rent is about $3,068/month for a decent place. Average temperature is around 76--F, so it's warm year-round. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. What neighborhoods would you suggest? I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

I've lived in East for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's not perfect but it works for me. When I first moved here from Atlanta, I was surprised by cost of living. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Decent public transit for the size
- The housing market scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Traffic during rush hour is rough
- Nightlife is limited

I've lived in The Heights for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's exactly what I was looking for. When I first moved here from New York, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The housing market scene is pretty good
The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited entertainment options

Public transit is surprisingly good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I genuinely enjoy living here.
