Hey folks, The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

Background: I'm a project manager, 35, moved here 8 years ago from Miami. I've lived in Westside and North, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Strong sense of community
3. Lots of family-friendly activities
4. The people are generally pretty good - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Traffic during rush hour is rough
2. Urban sprawl is real
3. The job market situation is pricey and doesn't seem to be improving

If you value housing market, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely average and I've found I genuinely enjoy living here. My neighborhood (Highland) is affordable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Pittsburgh, be prepared for the culture shock. healthcare is completely different here. And Chain restaurants dominate.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
