Hi all, Just moved here 11 months ago and Homes are going for about $899,300 on average. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Let me know your thoughts. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

I've lived in Westside for about 15 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it exceeded my expectations. When I first moved here from Salt Lake City, I was surprised by housing market. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
- The dating scene scene is challenging
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Limited entertainment options
Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for families. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. outdoor recreation used to be much stable but now it's improving.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want nightlife, then yeah this place is great. But if cost of living matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem decent.
I've been here 11 years and I genuinely enjoy living here. The thing nobody mentions is school system. It's established and it affects daily life more than you'd think.
That said, the weather is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is underrated.
Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Uptown side vs the Old Town side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.
