Poverty rate is 17.2%, which is higher than I expected. The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Would love some local perspective. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I've been living here for 10 years and I'd say it's not perfect but it works for me. The safety is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
